Hi Sandra,
You went through a lot. I know this is late, but I hope you are totally healthy now and stay that way for a long time. It is good that your husband and son took you to the hospital.
You are right about the power of prayer.
Have a great day and keep writing those chapters.
Joan

I'm a lot better now, thank you, Joan. It wasn't a nice time, and I hope never to go through that again. Thanks for your kind words, my friend. You have a great day, too! :)) Sandra xx

And we love you too, Sandra. When you sent me the picture of you on oxygen in the hospital, I was out of my mind with worry! Just glad we can talk face to face now you're back home. A lesson to us all that life is too short and the love of our family can be the thing to save us!

Thank you my dear friend. It suddenly hit me this week, how quickly my time has raced through my life. I sit here and look back at the memories I've created and mourn how quickly they ended. We seem to spend our lives waiting, then the happening is over in a blink, and then fast forward, they become a distant memory. We have to slow down and make the most of each day. Love you, my dear friend. Chat later. Sandra xxxxxx

The absurdity of the medical system: " you don't get one, but you have to answer their online questionnaire, which I did in the end." Prayers & good wishes are known to be very effective. Continuing to send healing on all levels.

Thank you, Liz. It was a nightmare, but my son and husband took me to the hospital, and they kept me in. I'm slowly improving, but it's taking more time than I thought it would. Thank you for the prayers, I really appreciate them. Love and hugs, Sandra xxxx

I'm 75+so I can say it, 'it takes longer to 'bounce' back as we age. lol What a funny word, 'bounce' ...more like 'dragging' back.

Hi Linda, I have bowed to common sense and my family's demands! No, I really do need to rest, I have no energy, anything to get me up and going again, it's like my body gave up on me. So. I am going to rest, not think of anything stressful, and get better. I think my body has been telling me enough times, now I give in. Love you, my dear friend, very much. I'll keep in touch by email. Love and hugs. xxxx Sandra xxxx

Sandra, I only found out by reading a script; how is your hip healing? You are one lucky bunny - septicemia can be fatal. So now I have joined the list praying for you, my dear friend - we joined FS family together all that time ago. Love, Kay xx

Hi Kay, thank you. I didn't have a new hip. I've been in hospital with sepsis while I was being attacked by viruses, and acute asthma. I was lucky that my son and Graham got me to the hospital in time. Now I'm resting at home and feel I need to have a little break from writing. My brain isn't functioning at the moment. I've just posted a little note telling everyone, and saw your review. Thanks, my friend. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

Where on earth did you get sepsis from? One FS writer told me you got an infection from hip surgery, my how stories change! Bless you Mrs. Seagull.

I am so sorry you are not well. I have you on my morning prayer list and trust the Lord is giving you more strength each day. Glad you were able to get the treatments you needed and that you are now home.

Thank you so very much, Anne, your prayers are so appreciated. I do strongly believe they are listened to. I'm slowly improving, but still very tired after the beating I took from it all. I'm too old for this! Lol. I'm glad I'm home, I can rest more here, it's so noisy in hospital! Thank you for your kind and caring comments, Anne, and thank you for gold star which has given my spirits a lift. Love and hugs, my friend. Sandra xx

HOLY COW! You deserve a six after that effort! Covid three times and now this - don't deny it - you're one tough lady. Great that you had a husband and son to look out for you. Don't worry about the next chapter. Just get well. You and your wonderful family will be in my thoughts and prayers. Rest and get better soon. Frank

Lol, I don't feel so tough at the moment, Frank. I'm trying to get my brain working properly. I won't let it beat me, though. The first two Covid attacks I had weren't too bad. A bit like a nasty dose of the flu. The third was the one that nearly destroyed me. It knocked me for six. I was left wide open for any virus that happened by. I hope this is the end of it. Thank you, my friend, for the sixth star, that has certainly given me the lift and spirit to fight on. I hope you have a much better start to the year than I have!! Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

I hope your New Year will give you a bit of respite until spring and some warmer weather. Glad the six gave you a lift. Smile and get lots of rest. Frank

I'm so glad to hear you're home and on the mend. I had no idea how bad it was. I had a cat emergency and couldn't pay my FS dues. I finally got them paid yesterday. My thoughts are with you and hope you're feeling 100% soon.

Oh my goodness, Cindy! Your cat is by far more important than anything else! Our pets are our children. But, thank you for your really kind thoughts. I've never felt so bad as I did, and I'm thankful I'm on the right side of it now. I need to slowly built my strength up again, I'm still so tired. Thanks, my friend. And I hope Kitty is doing well? :)) Sandra xx

Sadly, Max didn't make it. He was seriously ill and after tests, the vet said chances of success in a 15 year old diabetic cat were slim, and costs could run about 10,000 dollars. I had to put him to sleep.

Well I'm certainly glad to hear you are back home. Sounds a bit scary, but you are recovering. The book can wait. Take care of yourself and we'll all be here to read the next chapter when you are ready to post. Who knows? Maybe your experience can lend itself to some material for it. Write from experience, I always say. Prayers for your complete recovery. estory

I've heard that things aren't great in the medical department in England, I knew that you were really I'll because of Debi's timely post, thanks for for your thoughtfulness in posting this. I'm glad our prayers, (of course they do) thanks so much Sandra, blessings Roy

They do help, enormously, Roy. When I read all the messages I had, sending prayers and love on here, I was emotionally blown away. I can't thank you, and everyone else, enough. I'm on home care, so still have a little way to go. I'll get there.
The UK is in crisis now, everyone is striking. The ambulance drivers, the nurses, some doctors. There is also a rail strike, and teachers strike. It's terrible. I was treated wonderfully, though, they worked hard on me, and thankfully the sepsis was cleared, and my other illnesses were good enough to be treated at home. Not a nice start to the year!
Thank you, my dear friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xxx

That?s brilliant, not the strikes, sad, well done dear girl,
