Great picture...the image you presented and the words you "painted" with.
It's mid-January and here in New England my thoughts are racing ahead to April.
Sigh.
A bit of serenity to hold me over!
Thanks for this!

Winter...If I were master seasonal planner I'd make it --oh, about a week long. Christmas through New years!
HO HO HO!

Very nicely done! An ode to spring I believe, which has been mis a ingredient from my life for quite a while now. We are in the dead of winter, I long so much for warmer weather. Thanks for sharing. :)

In this delightful Haiku you have evoked the very essence of springtime renewal and joy. And your word choices are perfect, especially "sprouting joy," Nice job.

Your haiku read well, DP. I liked the personification of
colors. Your lines were correct in syllable count. Your
words were well thought out and painted a mental picture
for readers. Yes, Spring is as you described. I liked the little
while duck in the art choice.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Although the human skillsets are much better with mixing colour now, still the natural, vibrant colours of spring, are still superior, but the artists mix the colour of their emotions differently and well. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Thanks for the encouraging words and all the stars, Roy. You are right about the natural colors being better than the painted ones.

-Nice artwork and presentation, Joan.
-You did a good job with the haiku.
-Effective nature and seasonal imagery
with the sun, "cool rains" and the
use of "sprouting" that makes
a very good satori line.
-You paint a good word picture
about the joy of the season.

I like the unique idea that "colours come home". As though they have been away for a season and are arriving back to a place they belong. I really like the way you have expressed that. "Sprouting joy" is also really beautiful evoking happiness in the arrival of spring. Well written.

Thanks for the review, Dolly. It could be Spring or Summer. But I guess mostly Spring.

The flow and content is great, vivid imagery, evocative of Spring. I enjoyed the poem and the chosen illustration; they work well together. A good effort. Well done. I enjoyed reading it.

nice poem about the springtime a season of color, and renewal after the gray colors of the winter season. God I am sick of this cold winter already ready for Spring to come.
