What a beautiful, flowing free verse about time. I love the description of it flowing through the slim neck of the hourglass. It seems so short as we grow older, but we must keep in mind the destination we have waiting for us. To see loved ones again will be wonderful, too!

I really liked this. You created this great 'sand through the hourglass flow' with this rhythm of language dripping line to line. And the images are poignant glimpses of the scenes of our lives; the faces of children and grandchildren, the light in the window, even the raindrops, all set against the persistent passing of the days of our lives symbolized the sand going through the hourglass, a classic image, I might add. One of your best poems, I think. estory
