Oh, Man! Did I ever enjoy this! It has such a classic texture to the prose/poetry. At first, I wanted to have you change the structure from passive voice to active. Until I realized that the three women were themselves passive -- to unrequited love, to incompleteness, to fate. And the brief Haiku intermissions summed up each woman so completely while sewing one scene into the next. Man! I wish I had a six for you.

I like your poetic description of these three maidens, first with prose and then summarized with a 5-7-5 poem. I wondered if these maidens were sculptures? And yet, they could easily represent the people in our lives.

Hmm, an interesting look into three female statues and the meaning behind their individual stories, real or imagined. I like the depth that the writers puts into them. It reads like a brochure from a tourist agency. Makes you want to see them (they were real) on vacation.

This is an interesting write and I enjoyed learning about the Iron Maidens. In England, the iron maiden was an instrument of torture during the reign of Richard III. It was a metal full body mask with metal prongs that pierced the body to ensure a slow and painful death as the victim was stood up inside. I was pleased to hear it had a different meaning in Portugal, a very interesting and well researched post, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Certainly a play on words as I was familiar with the torture chamber. Thank you for reading this work.
