Another amazing poem. I love it beautifully written it has a nice flow and rhyme. I enjoy your poems immensely. I have to agree poetry is healing I lost my niece of 37 years old and I started writing for therapy and I haven't stopped since.

Your writing and rhyme have filled me with joy, JB1. I'm sure I'm not the only member to say that. You write with ease and presence as your rhyme rolls off one's tongue. Best, JohnC

I don't know if I turned heads the way you did, but I couldn't agree more about finding poetry as I got older. I had written occasional poems since my late 30s, but mostly for special occasions like birthdays and such. Once I joined FanStory last year, though, I found the thrill of writing poetry and, like you, it gives my life peace and joy in my senior years.

This was an excellent poem.

It's true -there is 'joy in po'etic glow' -it allows us to step away from the daily grind and exercise our creative faculty - looking forward to reading more poetic creations.

That's a good one, Jay. Since my retirement, I have been able to concentrate more on poetry. It has taken away some of the exercise that I use to get because I'm sitting too much with my computer. That's my next project - get more exercise.

This explains well how you pass the time as you grow older. I love the last line which goes until it is my time to go I'll seek joy in poetic glow. This is my favorite line and hits one in the gut as far as what it means to write poetry until it is time for us to go.
Thanks for sharing your reason for carrying on.
Jesse

You have been writing poetry for a very lone time. Seventy-five years is quite an accomplishment.

So very well done friend Jay. Keep them coming and I and many others will keep reading. :))
