I agree with your words. I write more poetry as I become older, it does bring joy and contentment to one's life. There is a good feeling in your words and you show how much joy poetry can bring to us as we age. Excellent poetic form and a theme that is encouraging.

I like the measure of this poem. But then I usually like what you write! I like the way the rhymes aren't forced, just peacefully flowing like they should.

It amazes me how this author continues to find so many topics to
write about. The poem is descriptive, creative and defines aging
while finding poetry to be a helpful pastime! I believe writing poetry
is a gift and will always help us cope with whatever comes up in our

"It lifted life, this new found toy,
gave to my life, much peace and joy."
