Boy, that Rogers sounds like a real cookie jar. Just reading about him makes me want to smack him in the mouth. See, you got me all wound up with your story. I guess that's what good writing does. Right?

Brilliant scene--intense confrontation with the villain. Ladies' banter rings true--teasing--blushing--wedding/honeymoon plans--hypothetical of course!

Excellent, once again. Before I forget, check out where this chapter is placed, because it says it is in the novel Football. I thought it was a different story. I hope you have a wonderful evening. Shirley

I don't know how to switch it. I'll have to contact Tom to get it changed. Thank you for telling me. Thank you for the kind review.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Some idiots never learn how to just shut the heck up. Pat Rogers' compulsive insulting, hostile language, is only going to make things worse in a growing tide of negativity. He would benefit greatly by learning to say less, much less.

I have a feeling the trial won't be too friendly to Rogers. Thank you for the kind review.

Some of the characters in in story have extrememely nasty personalities. This guy isn't aware that DNA has been performed to prove who is the father of the baby. I'm glad the Sheriff called his bluff and has removed him from the scene. Everyone seems to assume that Ali and Clay will be getting married at some point.

I think your writing and editing are very good. You have solid transitions and paragraph structure. Your characters are true to form. I had forgotten about Rogers, but I see he is, and I'm sorry to say, written in the same style as Alan, there is almost no difference. They could be brothers.

I know I'm the only one who will say this, but I recommend checking over your antagonists again, and check for depth of character. They seem cookie cutter bad men. Or what a feminist would view bad men. They are not smart, yet smart enough to rape dozens of women in a small town, with no secrets and keep it secret. They are smart enough not be caught (until the female heroine arrives) but not smart to remain silent in court, public or depositions. They have no backstory, no reasons for their actions and blatant misogyny/abusiveness, they are the worst criminals without logic to their actions, and all we are told is... they bad men. It seems their only purpose is make women angry at them and then feel rejoiceful when they get theirs.

I almost forgot. You posted this chapter in the wrong book. Perhaps, they are too much alike.

Thank you. I'm getting the book issue corrects. It happened because of the Epilogue I posted.

I enjoyed reading chapter 27. It's good to have a girl's point of view and then resolution. It seems like Alan and pat are not nice people. I see how there is going to be a surprise soon. I look forward to how it all works out.

Ali is really enjoying her new girlfriends:-)

I liked this chapter - Ali is becoming more comfortable with her surroundings and new friends. But there still seems to be trouble ahead. Damn! Get those two married and living happily ever after.

And what was that comment about Cord being the father? That can't be right!

Nice chapter, Barbara.

It's not right. It's just Pat being a jerk. Thank you for the kind review.

Awww. Darned sheriff, interrupting and robbing Cord of a chance to vent.
Nice writing. Good work.
Ali is staying quite busy.
Best wishes..

Alex certainly has a reason to fear Pat, but Amy seems in more danger. You've made it very clear Pat is a dangerous man if anything comes between him and his money. Well written and no gremlins.
