I hardly know one type of poetry from another, but it doesn't keep me from enjoying all those happy words you share. You even have me thinking that maybe I should be happy about rain. LOL. And I am, because it makes everything grow. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for those lovely comments. There's something very cozy about rain. I think it's handed down to me from my Celtic ancestors. lol.

I must say I don't mind the rain but I hate the grey clouds that go with it. Well done with your rain Cascade, Yvonne and well rhymed too in the first and third lines, that works well. Cheers

Hello Yvonne,
You missed your mark somewhere along the way gal. In Southeast Alaska, annual rain is measured by the foot. It makes for some really beautiful scenery though, everything is so green, and of course the salmon need the water to get up the streams. This was a cute poem. I know you like the rain. I hope you get a reasonable amount soon.
Have a blessed evening gal.

We've have several days and promise of more. It's said it's going to snow today! A foot! Yippee!

The author's words are interesting, not common, descriptive and creative.
I like rainy days too but for a different reason. What I like is that when it rains I just stay home and relax! The author's poem relates, for me, a love of the rain and describes well how the droplets fall. The artwork is awesome and compliments this poem. Have a great day!...Maria

-Nice image and presentation.
-A well written poem with a good topic.
-Effective imagery, rhyme, and repeating lines.
-It flows well like the gentle rain.
-You do a good job showing how you
enjoy the rain, especially in the closing verse
with the three repeated lines.
-Well done.

I enjoyed you cascade. I even enjoyed the idea of rain every day. I love rain too. I think we both should move to Florida I hear they have short showers most every day in summer. Then there is Washington state where in rains a lot, but I hear people get depressed there with all that rain.

I think Washington state would be the best place for us.

I've read a few of these Cascade poems and I really like them, plus I assume they're a challenge to get right.
You've done a great job with yours, and I like your subject. Some people do like the rain! I also think your image and the gray (often associated with rainy days) background is a plus here.
Nicely done:-)

Very nice Cascade poem! The theme is well suited to the format, and the reader can identify with the cool refreshment of gentle rain. Beautifully done.

Of course, you had to rhyme it, too! And you gave your Cascade poem such a happy beat for someone who loves rain! You really need to be out here to get that much rain! Loved your poem, Yvonne!

I was just "chatting" with Beth Shelby who said we needed to move there. If only. Thanks, Helen.

Someday...I wish you could visit. 💖
-
Me, too.
-
Maybe Stewart can arrange for a family visit with you. But who will take care of your cats?
-
He would have to and he's allergic. A visit would be fun. No telling how much trouble we could get into together. lol. Maybe someday.

Hi Yvonne, I know that you love the rain, and this is a wonderful tribute to rain and rainy days. Your poem is so graceful and lovely that you "almost" have me liking/wanting rainy days.
Your poem reads and flows well and is filled with vivid imagery. Your message is clear. I especially liked:
The droplets fall, each one unique,
when gentle breezes are released.
(I can see it, and I can feel the gentle breezes.)
Great photo choice. A pleasure to read. Keep the blue waters flowing.
