I listen to rain and mikd thunderstorms every night when I sleep. I used to stretch out on my porch swing and take naps in the summer when it would rain. Twenty minutes and it would feel like I had a vacation when I woke up. I've only seen one drought that I can think of. Only being able to run water for a few hours a day. Your poem was very entertaining. Very relatable. Gretchen

I have done the same, taken a nap on the deck furniture. I've only experienced one drought here back in the 50s. Thanks for reviewing.

That's a neat idea for a poem's structure. I hadn't heard of that before. It's seems challenging to do well, but you've done it very well. Very nicely presented too with the font and background color nicely matching the photo. Great job!

Your club poem was great, Yvonne. I loved the picture and
the rhyme scheme. Your words were well thought out and
showed how much you love rain. You gave great examples
why you loved the rain and wished for it to rain every other
day. I liked the line about it being a feast which is what we
need now. Your words had smooth flow, the personification
of the rain was super, and your message was clear.
Thanks for participating, Jan

If you lived in England your wish would be granted as it rains all the time, in fact there are very few days when it doesn't rain, I loved the pitter patter in your appropriate words to simulate the rainfall here, love Dolly x

Thank you. When I visited there, it didn't rain a single day for the ten days I was there. So disappointed. 8-)

I'd packed all my rain gear, looking forward to the famous London fog and rain.

A cascade! What a fitting name for this form! I happen to love rain, so on every level, this poem appeals to me...

We are as every drop ~ unique in the best possible way!

What a sweet inspiring poem to read this Sunday!

Great! Google tells me: "The best city between Arkansas and Massachusetts to meet is Blacksburg, Virginia"

Name a date and time! (LOL)

I'm fond of the cascade poem Yvonne, I love repetition and it's amazing how it keeps one on point all the way through, I think it's almost subconscious in its process, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. Yes, during our Texas droughts raining every day would be something special. I do like the sunlight though, so it's a tough call. I enjoyed reading your fun poem.

This meets the rhyming requirements and format of a cascade poem in tercet-based stanzas. It has a pleasing rhythm just like the cascade bubbling away downstream.

Living in the state of Washington could be an answer to your wish. Near coastal areas also could be another option. LOL. Good one Arkie. Have a great week.

I wish I did live somewhere where it rained a lot, but I was born an Arkie, and I'll die an Arkie. Besides, I'm too lazy to move. hahahaha.

You have a smooth flow of lines and words, like a smooth fall of rain. There is also a musical feel to your poem. I like your theme of enjoying rain, rain is much needed. Your repeating line fits the poem well and the image of frequent rain comes through clearly.
