There is nothing like snuggling under blankets reading a good book and sipping hot chocolate. Their warmth infuses even the coldest nights. Thanks for sharing your heart-warming poem.

Well done, my friend. The picture shows the beautiful fire roaring while you are reading a good book and sipping cocoa and it is the epitome of how the world can become a warm and safe place to be. This is excellently written and I hope you win the contest hands down.

Thanks, Jesse. I am glad you enjoyed it. It is not me for I have no fire place in my house. But reading nice covered and drinking cocoa could be me.

This is a well-done haiku for your club entry. I have never been able to write a haiku that made sense. But those of you who can make it look so easy. In this case, I think a reader could make it personal to themselves simply by changing the word coca if that didn't fit them to say...coffee, tea, or even whiskey. Cheers! Excellent work. Terry.

Hi Terry. Thanks. You are right about the drink changing with the person of the emotions. I could go for cocoa, tea, or wine.

I really enjoyed your haiku poem. It certainly tells a complete story in very few words and your lovely choice of artwork is excellent. Best wishes. Jen.

I'm all in with this with the exception of hot cocoa. I'll make a cinnamon churro coffee as my warm beverage.
Excellent entry into the contest.

Thanks for the encouraging words, John.
I am not a coffee drinker. Though cinnamon in the cocoa or in a cup of tea would suit me fine.
Keep writing and stay healthy

On those cold blustery evenings a cup of cocoa by the fire, and a book will soon have us sent to sleep, a few words of comfort here, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

This is a good haiku club entry. The text could be one size larger with a visual that size. It would also be more prominent centered on the visual. The message is clearly stated and relatable. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck with your club entry.

A most enjoyable haiku. Great photo to enhance the limited words.
world's warmth realized... in front of a cozy warm fire.
I can relate to this having returned from Canada after it went to -26 degrees. Yes, very cold indeed!
