This short entry to the Antonym contest says a mouthful. The text is for sure a great size. The message is brief but truthful. I feel the poem would be enhanced with a visual or at least make the letters red, white and blue. Good luck in the contest.

I tried to find a suitable pic but they were all poor .
So I opted for just the words ..

I think your suggestion is very helpful seeing I had in mind all the lies leaders throw at us.

I find my photos by typing in my search engine free images of whatever I am looking for. Always put free at the beginning of the search. That way you are not breaking iany copyright laws. I then download it to my computer and upload it to the writing page on this site. Hopefully, this helps.

I love to add pics to my poems .. I take time to find the right one.

I know poets say that their words should be enough but I just dabble ( wink) ,

when I see the word POET under my profile I just have to laugh.

The war in Ukraine proves my point.

Zelensky got his tanks and now he demands planes.

And today how cocky he is , he said quote:

I have no interest to talk about peace with "nobody" Putin.

That?s not a man that hopes in peace . He doesn?t care to drag Europe , the world in WW3 .

The biggest lie America and our leaders ( a bunch of sheep ) spread was that Ukraine must be helped because after Ukraine Putin would invade Europe.

This war has nothing to do with defending democracy.. it?s about safe guarding immense investments America has in Ukraine it?s about wealth and power.

You better enjoy your holidays in Europe and in Croazia (?) while you can .

I Miss my parents but I?m glad they are not here to see another war in Europe ..

my mother in Holland was age 10 when the war ended and my father 16 .

I remember their stories of the war .

History was my all time favourite subject but I never thought in my wildest dreams that Italy, Europe would go through yet another war.☹️

Like this war in Ukraine our leaders told us that democracy was at stake and we believed them

But after a year some are starting to wake up and see through their so called truths.

It?s all about interests: investments , wealth and power.

Few words here that speak so much truth, when someone tells a lie often enough, they start to believe it along with everyone else. The truth can be too painful to bear for some people and lies provide a protective cover, love Dolly x
