Music brings back memories of our lives. Both good and bad. Those songs have played many times in my life. My favorite selection is jazz. I inherited that from my dad. Good Luck.

I recall all of those great songs and have trouble seeing how they would stick with you and remind you of all those big moves in your life. I think I too can recall what steps I was taking in life when those songs came around. Great job with this challenge.

Great memorable moments and great music. When I grew up Elvis became the best around. And he still lives on in our hearts today. Many of impersonators do sound like him. You grew up in the 70's. Country was and still is a wonderful sound of music. Enjoyed your posting.

No essay about music can be too long. I only wish I had the time to go to YouTube and pull up every title you mentioned because they are all familiar and I can draw a direct connection between each of them and something going on in my life at the time they were hits! Amazingly, Stevie Wonder is still blowing me away. (Did you catch him at the Grammy's?)
Lots of pleasant memories here...and I'll be humming a lot of these tunes al night long!

No essay about music can be too long. I didn't know a lot of the songs mentioned but the titles themselves fit right into that particular season of your life and what you were going through at the time. That fits the theme of the "soundtracks of your life" perfectly! Best wishes in the contest!

I fully understand what you are saying, although being several years ahead of you, the 60s music were my touchstones. When I went overseas in the military I returned to country (homesick, prob'ly). Then rock got crazy and not long after, country went rock.
Good thing for SIRIUSXM! I can listen to 50s, 60s rock and classic country!
