Outside Fort Campbell there is a strip known as 41A. Only three types of businesses were on the strip; bars, pawn shops ad used car lots. (Outside of Ft. Campbell, it also had many tattoo parlors. We were there from 1991-2001)

Thank you very much. When I was there in the early 1980s I can only remember one tattoo parlor. The businesses were predominately pawn shops, bars and used car lots. I appreciate you taking the time to read and review my work.

I went to basic training at Fort Benning, GA four days after I graduated high school. Ironically the Number one song that summer the number one song was The Devil Went Down to Georgia by Charlie Daniels.

It's so funny how music, like smells, linger in our memories all our lives.
As I read through your list, I was reminded of a few of my own. I laughed when you spoke of stacking the records on the player to make a playlist. My husband and I recently bought a huge stack of 45's and had a great time going through them.

This was a well-organized composition to read. I thought you included specific memories and specific songs that many people could relate to. What a great entry. Some of the songs I had not heard of before, but there were more than half that I had heard of. I will have to go look up a few of the performers, but that is a great assignment for me.
