I remember every one of those songs! Thanks for letting me walk down memory lane. I have a hard time appreciating some of the new music. Well written. Sarah

You touched on several decades of music. I grew up in the fifties, and Johnny Cash was the second most listened-to music in our house. Our first choice was classical music. We had what was then called a hi-fi. Good luck in the contest.

I grew up listening to country music on the radio and when I became a teenager my parents got me a record player. My first album was Elvis. I love all kinds of music and always have something playing in the background. Like you said, songs bring back memories. Good luck in the contest.

You mention so many fine artists here and their hits and my personal favourite is "Bette Davies Eyes". I blast that one out and sing at the top of my voice, what a great hit, I enjoyed your tribute to music here, love Dolly x

Two things struck me about this posting. Firstly you really are receptive to music, aren't you? Different pieces seem to drive each of the main events of your life, and hook your moods. Secondly I didn't recognize a single title! Now I like music as much as the next person and golden oldies are the best in my book, so this really surprised me. It's never happened to me before. kay

I truly enjoyed your life story as accompanied by all the memorable tunes that highlighted key events. I also admire your ability to recall titles, singers, and event so easily. I, too, love music, but all the key songs of my life are now a blur.
