When you wish upon a star and you know who you are..... for some reason these words came to mind when reading your poem. I`d like to read a poem of how your day evolves. A Kentucky native that writes more smoothly than the Ohio river.

I especially like the idea of a wishing well, and I'm reminded of the wishing well in Disney's 'Snow White,' a 1937 cinematic masterpiece which has a wishing well scene with a lovely, sweetly vibratoed song. There is a point in life at which memories must become more central, as the opportunity for new experience dwindles and dwindles.

Glad it works for you but being the miser, I seem to be, I simply lift my wishes towards my God. That has worked more often than the seventy-cents I threw down that cistern well. :-)

A good solid and sentimental sonnet; I appreciate the rhymes. A few breaks in meter and syllable count. However, writing about family and friends always stimulates strong emotions and a warm, fuzzy feeling! I really admire your dedication to your poetry- keep writing!

i enjoyed reading your lovely Sonnet. I like the positive, encouraging thoughts expressed, though with inflation we may need more than a dime (haha).
