This is powerful use of your six words, Val. Separating and capitalising the last word so that it shrieks out at the reader is most effective. I wish you luck in the contest. A formidable entry.

Well it doesn't get any more powerful than that now does it!? And you're absolutely right? The gun violence down in the States is absolutely horrendous. I'm up here in Canada and we are horrified and so I must say that it is a very real and prevalent subject.
We are not immune to that kind of violence here either disturbs me greatly the world seems to get darker everyday.
Having said that you make a powerful statement with your 6 word poem. Your poem sounds a little like a statement... Maybe move the words around a little bit? Only a suggestion it's awesome just the way it is! Good luck in the contest and I hope you have a great evening!!

Thank you for this fabulously well written review. I will take a look at it again, and think about your suggestion. Yes, it drives me wild we can't get rid of some of these assault weapons.

Really great poem with a sad topic and one that we are all too familiar with. There have bey far too many of these school shootings and or mass shootings these past few years. I am also horrified by all of the fun deaths, just senseless shootings. Thank you for sharing.

It is absolutely horrific to read what is occurring in the United States at present, and yet, it continues.
Your poem is filled with sorrow, regret and disbelief.
Six powerful words. The capitalisation of the last word has a definite finality about it.

Whew! This is an in your face 6-word poem. The text is an okay size. The message is blunt and needs to be stated that way. It would be good if the overall presentation (poem box) was larger. Drop the first line down one space from the bottom of the visual. I like the word DEAD in all caps, but I would drop it down one space and make it bold and much larger for impact. If the contest is not over, good luck!

Well, more a short statement than a poem but with only six words, there are limits. I would remove the notes. Some may not like outsiders commenting about things they cannot know a lot about. But it's your choice.

Such a tragic poem to have to write, Val. Your 6 words
were perfect for the horrific event. The color scheme and
image were fitting. I live about 200 miles from the location
of that shooting.
