Well I hope this is true and if so congratulations and best wishes.
I like the enforced pauses in line 2 which add emphasis to the concluding surge in line 3
Good luck in the contest.

This is a very nice and sweet 5-7-5 hope poem for the writing prompt. You gave very good comments and very good descriptive words and great imagery from the art work you chose. Thank you for sharing and best wishes in the contest. Teri

I love poetry about motherhood! Though I love looking into motherhood in all kinds of media! This was so well written! You used so few words to capture so much and you did so splendidly!

This is a succinct description of the maternal instinct that drives the continuation of our species. New life in which our future hopes lie. I can see why teaching might strengthen your desire, though I can remember from my own teaching days a few children who might act as a warning! LOL

Wonderful entry for the 5-7-5 Hope writing prompt.
Good syllables count but the connection between lines can be improved.
Good luck in the contest.

hoping for a forthcoming birth is a wonderful thing, especially when it is shared by the whole family. This is a refreshing poem compared to the emphasis on religious aspects that is often seen (don't get me wrong, I'm not non religious, I just like variety) kay

Certainly a perfect topic for a hope themed contest. My daughter grew up thinking motherhood was not a possibility for her (due to her cystic fibrosis) but she held on to hope and a miracle occurred. There is a poem in my portfolio called "Something Grander" that touches on this topic. Best of luck in the contest, I enjoyed your entry.

Love this!
Hello Author, speaking as one who yearned for years, and years, I'll tell you... it won't matter how, but go ahead and do it! It's worth every minute, every "ache and pain" of theirs that you go through.
My son just graduated from college and says he doesn't want to have children. I said, I don't care if you don't want any of your own... there are plenty of kids out there who need homes. Just bring me someone I can wrap my arms around, spoil, and will call me Grandma. That's all I want.
Susan :)

Definitely met 5 7 5 rules. Poem does say a lot in a few words.
Well done. Yep exciting to await the baby in your tummy or a baby up for adoption. Hope your wishes come true and thanks for your work as a teacher, not easy.
