A beautiful font to express these thoughts. The use of a flower is a great metaphor for comparing a baby. I like the lines about a flower dying in the winter, but not a child.

Hi Shari, you are so sweet. I thank you so very much for your lovely review and kind words for my poem. It's so appreciated, my dear friend!
Just wondering if you could seen me your birthdate, as I lost all that I had when a glitch deleted some of my pages.

A great illustration which complements the poem. You don't appreciate your chidren until they are teenagers, then you look at past pictures and wish you could go back!

I really enjoyed reading this lovely poem about flowers and children. I just had to read it as soon as I saw the beautiful artwork. The last line is so sad and poignant.
Best wishes. Jen.

A beautiful picture followed by a beautiful, and thought provoking poem. What could be better? Just yesterday in church, a young woman got up and walked by with her baby in her arms, and I whispered to my husband, "I want a baby." He only grinned tolerantly, but he knows how much we women love little helpless, sweet babies. We can't help it. You have so artfully described a baby's unique appeal in these well-crafted verses. They are like flowers, and even as they grow, we love them dearly. Thanks for the joy in your poem. I loved it. MM

First, you're welcome for winning my Can You Not See contest. As for me, back near the last, as normal.
Now as for this submission, I have read the first paragraph, and have a suggestion for line two:
"They are much more precious than anything on Earth"
for they too are part of earth, therefore how about removing much and adding else after anything?
Still, even if you don't change anything, it still is worthy of a six.

Hi Tom, I thank you so very much for the quote contest that you started. There were so many excellent entries, as I did not even expect to place.
I like your suggestion for the second line, so I will go in and see what I can do to work that in there. Please let me know later what you think. Thanks again for such a lovely review of this poem. Maybe a little silly, but silly is my favorite way to be. But you knew that me already. Lol. You are awesome my dearest of all dear friends, and I cannot thank you enough also for the generous six stars!!!

Sweet and lovely, including that photo! Wonderfully light-hearted sentimental "card" that's perfect for new parents or baby dedications; love that font! I admire how you manage to add pieces of yourself in your poems without sounding preachy, when you reveal that God is important to you & child-rearing; like you did with your quote-interpretation poem; and the subtle last line that hints at your negative feelings about the inevitable results of abortion. Great job!

Hi Debi.
What a cut picture of the babies in a flower. It is true that babies and flowers are gifts and both have stages of life. Both children and flowers give us joy and work throughout their lives.
I like the color scheme, but the font is a little too swirly for my liking. Though in a way is matches the theme. In that can be called flowery.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Joan

Thanks my sweet Joan! Are you freezing out your way today? We had -26 here this morning. And Yes, that is why I chose that Font for this particular poem. So I did increase the size and just got done changing the last stanza some too. I so appreciate your kind feedback and other comments.
