What a beautiful image you captured. The seas are such a wonderful creation of God's beauty. The waters are so peaceful and serene until a storm arrives and makes them angry. Like your poem.

Right on. Thanks

You seem to be advocating that we need to hear the sea to better see it. I would agree with that. There is such a hugeoral / aural component to the sea, and also the taste of the salt. My sharpest memories of the sea are sitting on a rock in the depth of the night, seeing nothing but perceiving everything. kay

Earth is also referred to as the Blue Planet, for obvious reasons.
That vast blue holds many wonders and has much to teach us but most of the time we just abuse , exploit and pollute it.
We use old ships to transport oil , oil platforms have exploded polluting the oceans and coasts , killing the fauna .
Some spills were done on purpose like the one perpetrated by Iraq forces during the Persian Gulf War in 1991. 11 million barrels . That's a crime.

Today our oceans are crying out but we are not listening .. Macro and Microplastics are polluting our oceans and killing marine life.

Hopefully we start to listen and show respect and gratitude towards our oceans.
Besides the message, I also love the opening paragraphs of your poem where you describe the sea as if it were a person. This is my favourite;
sometimes causing me to step back from her approaching excitement.
I want to leave you with this link .. I might have already shared it with you ..not sure.
I'm in bed so I can't embed it for you . This guy was lost and found the answers he was looking for at the bottom of the ocean.. he found that wisdom and beauty you encourage the reader to seek and be opened to.

Today I was walking the beach and just stopped and turned to face the ocean. The waves were up as the breeze was stronger than normal. The words just hit me. I stood there typing myself an email with the words of this poem. Funny how things work. Your review is so accurate. Thank you. I will watch the YouTube.

Wonderful use of personification in stanza one. Since the tides are ruled by the moon, it may well be that the sea is in harmony with nature. I like how you advise your readers to pay attention to the ocean.

You have not just written about the beauty of the sea, you captured her soul and invite us to listen along with you. Beautiful imagery and uplifting message if we could just be still, and listen to the wisdom of nature. Well done. Good luck in the contest.

I was walking the beach today and just stopped, pulled out my phone, took the picture and then sent an email to myself after writing this verse. It was rather weird but it felt really nice. Thanks for reviewing.

I have bathed in in six of the seven seas, only the arctic sea is missing, so you see I know these seas very well, they are exciting and my favourite is the Mediterranean sea with the Caribbean sea a close second. Some seas are mightier than others and I have sailed on nearly all of them too. I enjoyed your jaunt across the oceans here, love Dolly x

When I take into account the contest your poem is entered in, I feel you have indeed offered a good look through the eye of the beholder at the seas. You have excellent imagery and fine descriptions of the wisdom and beauty about which you write about. Excellent job. Terry.

Appreciate your thoughts. I believe it is a tough contest because so many things can be shared. A personal perspective I suppose. Thank you for your review.

The sea grants her wisdom to those who seek it, but those who deal with her in evil ways will never escape. What a wonderfully written poem.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a great day, and God bless.
