I think frenetic is the word to describe this assemblage of frantic actions bringing substance to descriptive gore. No question, the subject is driven. It reads like a cartoon gathering all of the possible violence into a few short paragraphs.
The denoument fits. If a chicken can still run after its head is chopped off, I guess a driven individual can still place a cursor and key a command.

Like you I was reading through the list of contests. Seeing the K-word minimum for a horror story piqued my interest. I started the project at 1730 PST. At 1804, our daughters showed with takeout as a surprise. I couldn't tell them to get lost. Their visit lasted until 2015. I had forty-five minutes left. I smoked keys and posted the entry at 2055. On tenterhooks I waited for the acknowledgement that my entry was accepted. HEY, I made it. So there are two of us so lame-brained as to jump onto a near-impossible text scramble. Many thanks for entering. I have no issues with this being in the competition. It's certainly one of the most entertaining and among the bet of the bunch. There's a lot of horrific acts in here which qualify.
Some of the other pieces have things which are horror tropes but still aren't really horror stories. Lacking in tone and atmosphere.

Many thanks for entering. I have no issues with this being in the competition. It's certainly one of the most entertaining and among the bet of the bunch. There's a lot of horrific acts in here which qualify.

How fun! I felt as if I had taken a few minutes to watch the latest Wile-Coyote series or somebody of that sort with lots of "Pow" "Bang" etc going on. It was a nice wind-down tonight after an icy cold day, Very creative, descriptive, holds the reader spellbound waiting of the nex reaction.
