i like your tanks poem- good picture presentation- story line is interesting- the doe and the Buck do usually take different paths - the wounded deer will usually run - and then lay down- the poem shifts from the wounded doe to the frozen creek and then raging river - couldn't quite see how tie them all together- doe creek river- creek is a small stream- river is a much larger body of water - not important- just how my mind pictures it- good job AP

This is a sad story as often wounded animals die of their injuries and there is much sadness in these words and this doe is parted from her mate and her path is cold and damning, love Dolly x

Hello my friend, it has been awhile : )) I can definitely relate to your well written, beautifully crafted, stunning visually presented Tanka. Being one who does go hunting from time to time. I was out over Xmas holidays, summer here though so no Icey rivers to succumb to.

You express thoughts so susinctly in this ancient Japanese style. The beauty of nature can be easily missed or ignored but only to our peril. Thanks for your contributions to us.

This is beautifully done, though so very sad as your words portray the image of the wounded deer being swept away, so very well written and presented****kahpot

Great poem with a beautiful photo added. Your words flow nicely, and made this an enjoyable read. It was a delightful read actually. I especially appreciate your notes, to explaing more about what a Tanka is. I honestly had no idea what it was, even though I have read a few of them here on this site. Thank you for sharing.

Here is some more of your lovely poetry. I like the way you add all the beautiful colors to every poem. The words have such a wonderful flow, which makes the poem delightful to read.
