I am an Australian Emergency Physician, currently travelling to remote areas across the globe in a vain attempt to avoid other tourists apart from my husband. Haha. Currently in peaceful Udon Thani, north east Thailand. Isan country and we are the only tourists here. Hooray.

Hmmmm. I'm a card-carrying "chocoholic" myself. Not sure I'd eat "oysters" even with Godiva chocolate coating... (smile). Is it me or is your background color the exact shade of a Hershey Bar? Man, love your poem and I'm SO sad that all I have in the house... are fresh fruits and raw carrot sticks!

Well, i must say, if you wondered why guest haven't returned to eat with you that a change in menu might work better, with a dessert made of Godiva chocolate.

Someone should hire you to advertise their chocolate products. This is likely to convince the educated consumer to try whatever is being marketed. I got a great bunch of 't' or 'th' type consonance in these lines: be it silky smooth,
lumped with fruit,
or crumbled nuts.
Its sweetmeat
is delectable to
my thirty-two teeth,
Plus quite a bit of 'oo' and short 'u' assonance going on. Nice composition in every way.

I won't argue with you. I've always loved chocolate. I once tried a chocolate grasshopper. Surprisingly, as disgusting as it sounds, it was pretty tasty. Now I'm craving that nice, gooey chocolate brownie you mentioned!

Applebees has a chocolate lava cake that is delectable. All you can taste is chocolate--the cake just gives it texture and makes it last longer! :)

I'm not so sure I would consider my palate sophisticated, but I certainly share your love of chocolate in any form other than totally unsweetened. Bitter baking chocolate doesn't do it for me. I would say the more decadence, the better. I enjoyed the poem. It got my mouth to watering.
