Hi Yvonne,
Thanks for teaching the Octelle. I'll have to try it. One of my favorite poetic forms is the Octogram.
When it comes to dreams, I rarely can remember any. They flee as soon as I open my eyes. Where do they go? Is my memory that bad? What is the reason we can't remember a dream?
"Some dreams hang 'round when I awake" ... very few for me, I'm afraid. I often thought I'd like to turn one of my dreams into a story. Have there been any contests in Fanstory about dreams? Do you know?
Nicely penned!
Hugs,
Kimbob

I'm sure there have been contests about dreams. I don't normally remember my dreams, but a few I have over the years. I wake up a lot laughing but don't know why. hahahaha

What an inspirational and educational octelle, damommy. It was both inspirational and educational because it taught us a lesson, a well learned lesson. I enjoyed the picture as well. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings n hugs!

So true Yvonne. Some dreams keep us wondering and asking why'? Your Octelle is smooth and flowing in what, to me, sounds like a difficult form. Could really associate with your topic, hope all is well for you. Cheers

The poems you write just make sense!
It made me think of the many times I have awakened from a dream and the heart was happy at at memory of the past or aching for the possible.
I have relived police cases from my Air Force years (1982-1992). Some still bring a laugh and some never leave because there is a sadness because of what happened.

I recall waking up one time recently and laughing a hearty laugh. That was probably eight months ago and do not know who it was that gave me such a light-hearted moment.

Well done!

Hello Yvonne,
I like having dreams. Lord knows what causes some of them, I have some pretty bizarre ones at times. I used to dream that the fishing season was going to open the next day and I wasn't ready for it and I was going to miss out on the Kings. I used to dream of the farm quite a bit. It was always built up a lot more than when I was there. I have a lot of dreams of being in the woods and confronting bears. Never just one, usually they seem to be everywhere. I know we all dream, I just wish I could recall them all. I wish I woke up laughing. It would start the day great I would think. Have a blessed evening. Sweet dreams gal.

Thanks for reviewing. It's nice to wake up laughing, but I wish I knew what was funny. I wake myself up talking, too. hahahaha.

Those darned old dreams always have a tendency to do whatever they want. I can't ever seem to remember those I think I might have wanted to, but nightmarish ones I'd rather forget won't go away. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Some similarities with the triolet, however the personification is different, which makes it a little more pointed than other forms, it's funny what we call something that guides, almost like a smorgasbord of choice. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

What a relatable poem you have written. It is probably an experience almost any of us could say we have known, but you have put it into a delightful form few of us could have accomplished. I am quite impressed. Your picture and color choices are excellent too, but the words seem too crowded. Perhaps a font that allows more space between the lines and a larger background would help. Just for appearance sake... nothing else. The words are what matter, I know.

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I rarely remember my dreams, but when I do, they are extremely interesting, and I wonder if there's a reason, I remember them. I enjoyed reading your entry and it caused me to pause and think.

I very seldom remember mine, but a few have stuck with me for years.
