Just trying to figure this one out quite honestly. `Business acumen` and `voice fills up a room` confuses me as I am not sure you speak of a female heron watching her man or a woman associating her dream guy to a heron. Am I stupid or what?

You are on the right track. There is such a thing as an implied metaphor. In other words, something about this man is like a heron. It's what you called an advanced poetic technique. Thank you for your five-star review.

The Bible tells us that love is patient and love is kind. Many times we want to rush and to love and not spend the time to wait a bit to see if it truly is what God wants for our lives. Sometimes the long-term relationships last better than the short fiery ones. Patricia

The great heron is elegantly plumaged, with long necks and long legs; the herons rank among our most conspicuous and beautiful birds. They use their long, sharp bills to stab at fish, frogs, or large insects while gracefully wading. Like your poem.
