This is a very wonderful, fine tribute to a teacher of your day. I love the way you spoke about his patience and kindness. You are correct that he taught you well.

This is a sweet poem tribute to your math teacher, Mr. Placheki. The text is a great size. The tribute message is clearly stated with lots of support.
Your spacing in the poem box is good and balanced. The visual fits well. Would be good if you had had a photo of him. Good luck in the contest.

You are welcome. As a retired teacher, I am moved by writings about other good teachers.

What a fine tribute and lovely sentiment for your teacher. A heart felt and beautiful remembrance to a dying breed of teachers.
The rhyming is good and the subject matter is equally good. Your poem follows the requirements of this contest well.
I did find some small flow if I may suggest reading it outloud to yourself will help.
For example: your 3rd stanza flows well. The second stanza stutters a bit.. Perhaps consider dropping a word or two on those longer lines may allow for an easier flow.
All in all a good poem and a fine tribute to your teacher good job!

I thought this was a lovely tribute to someone who changed your life dramatically. Mr. Placheki was a caring person who likely made the lives of several people much better. You were so fortunate to have known him. I also had a teacher like him. If you don't win the contest, know I voted for you.

Excellent. I certainly wish I had a Mr. Placheki for a math teacher when I was growing up. Math was a horrible experience for me from my first day of school to the end of my college days. I could read way above my level but I had little comprehension of math for many years. I worked in Sp. Ed. for many years and my supervising teacher was a saint. She taught me how to figure out the problems before I taught the class. I leaned more math from her than I had ever learned in my life. Thankfully, the students understood that I also struggled with the subject and it was a sort of bonding experience.

That's wonderful, that you had someone like her to guide you. I'll bet you were very appreciated by your students. :)

I never had children of my own so my students filled that gap for me. I loved them and did all I could for them. It was a great experience.

Sadly, I voted for another tribute piece. But I wanted you to know how much I liked yours. Great job. I wish I could vote for two. You make me wish all teachers could be like Mr. Placheki.

What a wonderful tribute. I can relate as I had a fabulous Maths teacher in high school. He would tutor me after class and gave sound advice.
A lovely read, well composed and executed.

This was a sweet tribute to your late teacher. I have had teachers touch my life before, too, but it sounds like your teacher was really special. I liked your rhymes. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.
