Well, that ending came out of nowhere. Yes, it is a surprise, but without a proper set-up or clues, then that kind of ending feels... strange.
Maybe the blackouts were drugs, but no hint was given. So, I don't know.

I'm gonna guess that he is not such a kind loving husband! The first car she wrecked was replaced by a second that met its end with a lamppost. Money can't buy love, however, it seems to destroy it.
