Hello,
I identify with your poem, in that I think man totally ruined this earth, starting with Eden.
I do believe there is hope in God, though.
Your serious words can teach people to be kinder to our earth and to each other.
Thank you for the lovely poem.
Good luck,
Blessings,
Cindy

Cindy, I agree that God can resolve this out of whack "free will" frenzy we have caused Mother Earth

You describe a picture paradise. These words are so beautiful, and I think of Eden, reading this. I am not familiar with Irregular Ode form, thanks for introducing me to it. It sounds challenging.

Great imagery, visuals and artistic presentation.

a nice retelling of the garden of Eden story. For some reason, it reminds me of a Star Trek episode (original series) where a cult of religious nuts hijacks the Enterprise to take them to a planet, they claim was the original Garden of Eden. When they arrive, they all die after eating poisoned apples.

Eden was always too perfect a dream to exist when mankind was introduced. A good choice of topic for the Irregular Ode challenge JLR, and I learnt a few new words along with enjoying the read.
Cheers,

Unique and interesting irregular ode. The language and presentation fit the message very well.
Eden was perfect and we made a mess of it. Definitely- there is a better way.

Well done
Blessings

An excellent commentary. Eden must have been beautiful, but in our attempt to make things better we have spoiled it. This looks like a difficult form since the rhymes are irregular, but have to rhyme somewhere. You did an excellent job with the form.

Very well written with an interesting viewpoint. Yes, the world was a pure and beautiful place before man came with all thier changes. I think though, that much beauty was also created by them. Thanks for this thought provoking poem.

Wow, that was spectacular.

It was moving, deep and clock full of wonderfully descriptive phrases, which created vivid imagery.

I have no idea if you hit the prescibed structure and form.
All I know is it was great work.

Best of luck.

It was my pleasure to "applaud" such work.

You succeed in a form I haven't tried.

Your club poem was interesting to read, JLR. You gave
readers great imagery surrounding your complex descriptions.
Your words flowed smoothly, too. I liked the art choice.
Did I miss the rhymes for killed and sparkled?
Thank for participating, Jan

I thought it was an interesting piece making the case for mankind to live in harmony with nature rather than trying to design a world or make it fit into his own convenience. More and more I am advocating for this kind of simple, back to basics living without machines and devices that pollute and hollow out our experience of life. estory
