Well done. an excellent and thought provoking Tyburn poem which meets the requirements. I like the contrast between "prraying" and "preying". Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

So much said in so few words. In reality though, this does say it all. Who would have thought the message in the Bible could be summed up in six words.

Hello author, good format and good descriptive writing, especially:

Jesus with Grace ~ Praying, Staying God
(Jesus had to be the highlight of this poem.
We don't want to put too much attention on the other one.)

Interesting photo. Well done; well said. As this is a contest entry, I wish you good luck. LateBloomer

Excellent use of the prompt. Even with few words and syllables to express your thoughts, it comes across very well. I wouldn't change anything...great word choice!

Good luck in the contest,
Brandon

This is a well-put-together piece, and your dislike for satan and your love for God ring true. I completely agree with your sentiment and the purpose of your work is clear. I loved it! best, JohnC

I liked the note you posted to compliment your poem.

I liked how you used this poem style to portray some differences between Jesus and satan.

Well written and presented.
Good luck in the contest.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

You did an artful job of presenting the opposing sides to both the illustration and the Godly and satanic side of the poem. It was well-formatted and easy to see how the differences lined up.
Thank you for writing.

Good poem. The rhyming was good and your poem flowed smoothly. I agree with you about not capitalizing the word satan. Good use of descriptive words in your poem.

Hi Jacquelyn, thank you for your kind words. However, since you rated it a four, what would you suggest I might have done differently? I am always open to feedback.
reply by jacquelyn popp on 21-Feb-2023
I actually meant to rate it a five because it was indeed worth 5 or 6 stars. I think what happened is that I hit the four, then put my fingers in the wrong area to n my phone and hit the save button. There was nothing that I could think of that was wrong with the poem. I don?t know how to go back and change the rating.

Oh thank you. All you have to do is go where you wrote the review and change it and save again. And thank you again!

Your words show a small part of the enormous differences between the two, and it's clear to see the choice. I have never seen someone spell a name with lower case before, even if it is someone despised.

Hi there Thesis. I thank you for the kind comments and review for this poem.
I learned early on in life that you shouldn?t hate anyone, and if you do that is more of a reflection on you than them. However, satan is not an anyone, a someone, nothing in my book at all, except the reason for all problems, and reason for every single bit of despair in the world, and most certainly not proper. And I most certainly understand where you are coming from, but even in high school and college days, after preventing a very strong case, I was exempt from having to capitalize or any other kind of respect in any form. To me, that pretty much showed that there are things worth fighting for when you feel strong enough about them. Y?know what I mean? I appreciate very much your feedback on this, as it has been a long time since I have really reflected on that stand.
