You need a space between my and legs. Other than that, it is perfect and well-written. The words have a beautiful flow which makes the poem a delight to read. Nice work.

Ah yes the sweet smells and sights of home always invoke a feeling of peace and comfort. Can never be lonely when you're at home because your home is your friend.
The boards under foot. Familiar creaks in the stairs and the sound of the
furnace going off and on all home to you.
You're writing style is quite unique not set up as a poem per se but as a conversation and yet it still speaks of poetry. I very much appreciate your approach in writing this. Your word choices speak of authenticity when you use slang or cut the words a little bit in your speech. The way you wrote is intriguing and the subject matter uplifting. I think you would be a good candidate for writing dialog Is for a show or something That's my minion but I thought I'd throw it out there. Thank you very much for your submission have a great night!
