A well rhymed and metered write full of the joys of nature and appreciation of the dark when all creatures enjoy life without light.
This line is out of metre and requires adjustment:
letting my dreams wheel and soar.
Perhaps:
(letting dreams begin to soar)

Soothing and elegant verse here. Subtle kisses of alliteration, personification, defined meter and perfect rhymes...
The juxtaposition of a field of flowers -- emerging from the darkness lends a comforting tone.

A beautiful poem with clever utilisation of a number of poetic themes such as the personification of trees and leaves dancing, and subtle implementation of rhyme which does not feel forced.
While the theme of your poem may seem dark it expresses comfort in the darkness shrouding and protecting you from the harsh light and realities of the day.

This is a great entry for the - Rhyming poem contest. This piece paints a vivid picture of colour and atmosphere as the setting sun lays slowly down to rest. Until the darkness brings more comfort. A night owl would agree. A most enjoyable read.
