Beautifully written again. Love poetry brings out the soft touch when condensing. This is exactly what you have done in this poem. What are the syllables with this type of poem being you have more than a 5,7,5 syllables and verses?

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

    The syllable count is 5/7/5/7/7 OR LESS for each poem. There are two poems, one from one lover and the second a response from the second lover. So it's 5/7/5/7/7 and 5/7/5/7/7 OR LESS syllables. This rule is because English syllables are longer than Japanese syllables. For example.....
    HAIKU IN JAPANESE
    Furu ike ya
    kawazu tobikomu
    mizu no too
    ----------
    Fu/ru i/ke ya=5
    ka/wa/zu to/bi/ko/mu= 7
    mi/zu no o/to= 5
    ==========
    SAME HAIKU TRANSLATED TO ENGLISH
    Old pond = 2
    frogs jumped in ? =3
    sound of water= 4

    thank you, Rosemary, I appreciate your lovely review.
