I love the adventurous feel to this poem. The descriptive images of the trek through the countryside made me seen the lush green of Ireland. Using the background color was a clever way of further embellishing that imagery. Very fun poem to read. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

I am not Irish, but I love St. Patrick's Day. I don't drink green beer, but I do like my Guinness stout. Your poem is very beautiful and I liked it very much. I wish you well in the contest.

I hear it said in plenty, that if you can still see the floor, you're not drunk. Well, I suppose the gentleman of the poem wasn't drunk at all if he could still see the gold buckles of the Leprechaun's shoes! :)

This is a creative poem as you go in search of the Leprechaun in Ireland. If I ever get to Ireland now I know how to go about finding that rascal. You have go to pub and drink until he appears.

I love this trip through Ireland- one of my favourite places! I had a grandmother who was Irish. Even the place names are romantic and magical! Just check/ edit the odd typing error eg 'Patrick' in the heading and 'shepherd' in the text.
