Hmm, what does the story mean... that Ron - newly married to Sarah, was off with his mates running wild - with other women before his honeymoon? My mind is taking me to all sorts of scenarios here. A thought provoking and interesting story. Best of luck in the competition.

It must have been quite a bachelor party.. Your story consists of the right amount of words. It is a flash fiction because there is a twist at the end of the story.

Good entry for the 80 Word Flash Fiction writing prompt contest.

Good character development and the story grabbed my interest.

Seems like the bachelor's party was too much fan. :)

I was really lost as to what this story was about or where it was going. I didn't feel a connection or any passion or intimacy between the newly married husband and wife.

This is a good entry into the 80-word flash contest. The text is small and needs to be larger. The story is well-told and, the plot doesn't seem rushed. Sounds like the new husband got his days mixed up. He's acting buck wild before the honeymoon. Those kinds of shenanigans are for the bachelor party. He may not be great husband material. The visual fits just okay. The hubby isn't a knight but a cad. Good luck in the contest.

This eighty-word flash fiction story, Missing the Cut, has the proper word count and leaves the readers wondering if Ron's night out was the sign of things to come, his final dumb stunt, or a chance for a lad to sow his final wild oats.

This is just what guys do on their stag night and some have great regrets when they are tied naked to a lamp post miles from anywhere! Ha ha ha, a fun post, love Dolly x

Hi there,

your piece runs to 82 words and it needs to be exactly 80 words to qualify for the competition. (you could easily delete 'all' & 'wedding' from the opening line to make this happen.

Oh no! I sense trouble and strife. I really love the way you have left it up to the reader's imagination as to just how much trouble Ron got up to.

Fantastic flash fiction. Just the way I like it. Best of luck in the competition. Jacqueline
