You're singing my song! Nothing like the sea to remove all distress. Rhymes and refrain is perfect! Line seven is over one syllable..to nine. (You could remove that "is" and fix that easily!)

I loved the sentiment here but you have some issues with the syllable count for some lines. It is an easy fix. All lines need to be 8 syllables for the contest.

This line has 9 syllables:
On the island, life is slow and sweet,

This line has 7 syllables
A perfect place to explore,
