I suppose you never know how a client is going to respond to the dogs. I'm sure for the most part they are happy with them, but as you mentioned, they can bring back memories of former companions, and that can be hard. I suppose dogs have good days and bad days just like we do. Hang in there, I'm sure it will get better. I know that the service you provide is great. Thanks for sharing.

Sunny really loves his work and gets very excited each Wednesday morning when I put his bandanas on (one with the therapy dogs? logo, and the other with a big L, for "Learner". It?s generally good as the older people have someone to talk to for a little while and listen to their stories of olden times. Thanks so much for your thoughtful review.

I don't know why you decided to have Sunny trained as a therapy dog, but I think it's a wonderful decision. I read that people who have pets, especially dogs, are more contented, and live longer. I knew Sunny would have interesting work stories to tell. I thank both of you for sharing.

Thank you so much. He actually gets very excited on Wednesday mornings and always behaves perfectly the whole time. We both love it, and the older ones have a chance for some company, and a chat. Thanks so much for reviewing.

Thank you so much! Yes, they do seem to make a big difference to the people - but it is also an opportunity to chat with some-one for a few minutes, telling their stories of their pets, and that too is significant. Thank you so much for a lovely review.

Yes, he did love seeing Sunny, and it may have been good for him to have a little weep, but felt a bit guilty, unsure if it's better to think back to the past or not when it seems to highlight the present loss, as they can't have pets where they are. Sunny loves his work, and gets very excited on Wednesday mornings. A lovely review, thank you so much.

Well, Sunny, breeding is not everything. I've known some high-falutin' people whose pedigree goes back to the Mayflower, and let me tell you, they are not all that. I'll take simple people (and dogs) over the hoity-toity ones any day. It sounds to me like you're doing a great job!

This is good that you can take you dog to places where they help people feel better. Petting a dog makes high blood pressure go down. I had to put my last dog down two years are and I miss all three of my pets but I probably won't get another one. My legs are bad and it would be had to train a puppy. This is very good. I enjoyed this because I know how much those older people in homes love to be around a real animal they can pet. I don't have animals any more and I miss them. My children all have dogs. there are five that I get to pet regularly. They all love me, but someone else is responsible for their care.

This is very good. I enjoyed this because I know how much those older people in homes love to be around a real animal they can pet. I don't have animals any more and I miss them. My children all have dogs. there are five that I get to pet regularly. They all love me, but someone else is responsible for their care.
