Just like humans, I bet those dogs think they're better than the others. Sunny, you have no reason to let this get you down. I know you are a magnificent gentleman, and everyone who sees you loves you. There are always a sourpuss in the crowd. You stand proud, my little friend!

Congratulations to Sunny for doing such a great job as a therapy dog! I would have had my feelings hurt, too, if the woman I was visiting wanted to see another dog. Thanks for keeping us updated on Sunny's adventures. Best wishes to both of you.

Cheer up Sunny. Dogs come in many different shapes and sizes so that there is at least one type of dog that will appeal to someone. Old people can be a bit strange sometimes. They don't mean to be unkind but they forget sometimes how to be polite. You are doing great by all accounts and remember mixed breeds are often healthier, more intelligent and live longer than some of those other fancy creatures.

You are doing great by all accounts and remember mixed breeds are often healthier, more intelligent and live longer than some of those other fancy creatures.

I happen to think Cavalier King Charles Spaniels are gorgeous dogs. Please don't share that with Sunny. He's very pretty too. Yes, ago, I had a pedigree Yellow Labrador. She was the most wonderful dog. I still miss her. The rest of my dogs have been mutts. Mutts make great pets. Thank you for sharing how Sunny is doing.

He read your review!! Lol. My previous rescue dog was a beautiful yellow Labrador (mixed with a little German Shepherd and some Rhodesian Ridgeback). Beautiful, sweet temperament. I think all dogs who know they are loved have a lot to offer. Thanks so much for a great review.

Sunny sounds like the perfect therapy dog--calm and able to adapt to changing situations. It sounds like the people he visits appreciate having such a wonderful visitor who is willing to be petted and gives them attention. What a well-behaved creature.

Hi, Sunny. This is Sam. Paul said I could respond to your post. You should never feel inferior to the purebreds. It is not unusual for them to have psychological problems because of inbreeding. From your posts and from reading some of Wendy's posts, it is clear that you very mentally stable, and are just the right personality to be a therapy dog. Keep your head up and your tail wagging. I'd do that if I had a tail.

Thank you Sam! That?s just what I needed to hear. Yes, I do love this work, and I believe I am making a tiny difference. Last week someone said that the day we come is their favourite day. Because I don?t ride in a pram I am allowed on the beds, lying on a special rug, and I think that way I can lie right beside people and put my head on their knees, and they like that. Blondie?s too big for getting on a bed. So there are some advantages to being small! Thank you so much for your encouragement and I hope you and Paul are both keeping very well.

He probably doesn't get much of an opportunity to talk about his dogs, so to have someone listen to and take an interest in his stories of them probably touched him. I think it's good and healthy to cry if you need to, instead of bottling things up, and it sounds like you helped him do that.
