This is a poignant post Beth and I have known someone like this. I didn't know he had a problem but the more I learned, the more I realised that something was not quite right. Mental illness is very difficult to treat and a lot of the time the doctors are experimenting with patients and hoping drugs work for them. You obviously have some first hand experience with these patients. A poignant write Beth, very interesting and a little bit scary.

Thank you Dolly, I really appreciate the review and comments. Mental illness is pretty common and I hope nothing I wrote would upset anyone on this site who might have that diagnosis. One person has said she has it. It must be sad to have to deal with it.

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. I enjoyed reading and found it very informational. I think one of the main problems is they believe they're healed, and they quit taking the medicine.

Thank you Barbara. I agree with you. Most didn't have a problem when they were young and after things seem normal for a while they start to feel they could do without the medication.
