This is a good entry into the Sadness Rhyme Poetry contest. The text is a great size. The message is stated with clarity and is easily understood. Your rhyme scheme is done well.
However, your text looks squeezed into the poem box. The poem box needs to be expanded. Drop the first line down one space and go to the last word and hit enter once. Now there should be spacing around your text. Good spacing adds to the presentation.
The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

What a poignant account of what sounds like a necessary, agreed upon separation. It is saturated with sadness in the words of despair, remorse, longing and tears. Your rhymes gave structure but did not overtake the sad story. Well done!

This is a well-crafted and emotional compelling poem. If I may make one suggestion. I would remove the explanation from the notes. the poem could be about any reason the couple is apart, and any length of time. Leaving the openness makes it appeal to more people.

Oh wow, this is heartbreaking. Anyway who has a partner/parent/friend who has to work for several months understands this pain. You did an amazing job with your wording and story, definitely very saddening.
