"Fan Story" should be FanStory.

Probably correct in not desiring to write just to place words on a screen. Believe there has to be some substanance for it.

"book mark" should be bookmark.

Nifty desires in that prayer that would brighten any day.

    Hi Brett,
thanks for the fine review and the corrections. Sometimes I put words together like I think they should be and the spell check tells me I'm wrong. I assume the computer knows more than me, but that's not necessarily so.
    Blessings,

This is a beautiful piece of writing. Simple, straightforward, and richly meaningful all at once, and that's the kind of writing you usually do. I enjoyed it immensely and want to copy and print out that prayer because I agree, it would be good to pray something similar to that every morning. Thanks so much for sharing this. MM

    Oh my Katharine,
You're very kind, thanks so much. I truly appreciate your friendship as well. I do love Dr. Stanley. His many years as a pastor has given him a lot of wisdom. You live in a town with like the number one Christian author in America I believe - Max Lucado. Have you ever been to his church? His books are so uplifting. In any event, thanks so much for the wonderful review. Have a blessed Easter my friend.

no, I haven't. I am a rather lapsed Episcopalean, but I will look up his books. Would you like one in appreciation for your making all the CDs for me? I'd love to send you one!

Well gal, that's an offer I can hardly refuse, but I think I have most of the one's he's written. I would be happy to have something like a post card of your area though. I've never been there, and I'm not sure if I'll ever make it down that way. Isn't there a canal that runs through town? Do you ever go there, or is it too touristy? It sounds like there is a lot of history there. If I were to visit the town, what month is the best?
As far as Max Lucado goes, I would encourage you to read just about any of his inspirational books. When God Whisper's Your Name is a great one, and if you're feeling anxious, and who isn't right now, perhaps you would enjoy- Anxious for Nothing. He really is an uplifting author who has a great insight into the Lord. It's none of my business gal, but it's easy to be overwhelmed with issues that we all face every day. We need each other, and especially people who are of like minds. I would encourage you to find a church that speaks the word of truth, and that you can be fed at. We all have a void in our lives that only God can fill. Thanks for your generous spirit my friend.
    Have a blessed day.

It's hard to tell ahead of time what month is best because our weather fluctuates so much, but definitely NOT IN THE SUMMER. Our weather, today was lovely - sunny and nice, yesterday it was cold and rainy. One never knows. We've had Thanksgivings with the air conditioning on.
If you do come I guess April-May.
    July and August are scorchers.
Now if you want to see something really pretty, The River Walk, downtown at Christmas is beautiful The river (San Antonio River) winds through downtown and the huge trees along the river have lights, as does the whole campus of Incarnate Word College which is right on Broadway - that goes all the way downtown. The only bad thing about driving downtown, besides road construction and detours going on right now, is the streets are laid out along the old Chisom trail, so threy're not straight, and there are a lot of one ways. Makes it interesting.

Enjoyed your composition, thought the first paragraph was too long. The prayer rewarded us with hope, faith, and love. Dr. Stanly messages and prayers are always invigorating. Good Work.

    Hello Tpa,
thanks so much for the honest and helpful review. I went back and looked at the first paragraph, and I agree, upon further review, it is too long. I'll see about changing that.
    Have a blessed day.

Life can be overwhelming. Having a good read that takes our eyes off of ourselves if only for a moment is worth the read.
If we have ever needed to pray, it is now.
Thanks for redirecting our hearts. I'm pretty sure I will gain something from anything you write!

    Hello Rebecca,
Thanks so much for the excellent review and comments. I agree whole-heartedly that life can be overwhelming, and it seems to become more so each day. It just enforces the idea that we need to stay in touch with the Lord. He alone knows what the future holds.
    Have a blessed evening gal.

With you list of things that should be posted. I learn from good writing. It helps me become a better writer. Thank you for sharing this poem with us. It should be said everyday. I know God would want to hear it.

I know for myself that there is so much to read at times that it can be overwhelming. (you can omit 'that' it's not needed)

There is always a lot to read on FanStory, and I agree with you. It should be uplifting, educational, thought-provoking or entertaining. Your prayer by Dr. Stanley, who I've watched many times on TV, is uplifting, as well as a great way to recognize God in prayer each morning. Thank you for sharing.

Dr. Stanley's prayer is certainly a nice way to start off any or every day. Of course, I'm not the type do anything with too much regularity, but I'm glad God gives me a friendly reminder now and then to lead me back on path and remember I'm am example for others. Poor as it's been at times. LOL. Thanks for sharing, my friend!

    Hello Ric,
My apologies for not responding sooner, I'm a little under the weather right now. Certainly none of us is perfect, but we do all indeed need to have a personal relationship with the Lord. It's so easy to get busy with our days and forget about God, but we do ourselves and others a favor if we start our day with the one who knows all things and loves us unconditionally.
    Have a blessed evening.
