Lovely poem. I am not overly familiar with the scheme of Japanese poetry,but I absolutely love your theme. You painted sorrow with your words. The angst of broken promises. Very beautiful.

Very nice free verse. Even with only a few lines, the reader get a good understanding of the emotions and the topic. A subject many have been through, sometimes more than once.

This tanka, Misfortune, has the proper formatting and finds the forlorn one, the winds beneath her wings blowing elsewhere, thought of only by other migrating friends. Nicely put together.
