Oh no!
How very sad.
I love that you write poetry that makes people aware - that opens their eyes to things that are going on.
Nicely done, my friend, who is a great video footage as well.

It s sad that there are only two left .. we should be caring for our wildlife not driving species to extinction.
Today the northern white rhino , in the near future the tiger, the African elephant .. we are leaving a depleted world to future generations.
You have blessed me with yet another extra star ..
Thank you ! much appreciated but please stop spoiling me Kerry ( smiles).

You're most welcome.

I can feel the angst and concern in the simple two lines of your poem. I hope that extinction is not what happens to the white rhino... yes, let's keep our fingers crossed!

Important poem, because it fights for a cause. I find the allusion to the dodo well thought of, because the bird has been extinct due to greed and ignorance of settlers.
As a footnote, the dodo lived on Mauritius Island only, my native land.

Thank you for that tidbit .. I remember reading the dodo lived somewhere isolated? but I didn?t recall the precise location.
I love watching nature programmes like BBC National Geographic .
I watch WildEarth often .
It is always the same story
Man has no qualms to kill / wiped out a species for profit. eg: the bison.
I hope you watched the videos!
Keep safe!

This is so sad. Such beautiful creatures, majestic and strong! Its a shame that so few remain. Thank you for sharing the statistics with us as well. Love the picture too.

The picture is of mother and daughter .. I thought the sunset was symbolic .. eg the end of their species.
.. hopefully this new project is a success.
It s a shame we got to this tragic point to start off with, though.
I hope you checked out videos
