I enjoyed the way you described the season of spring by comparing its colors to carols. It was a great read for me and got me excited for the new season we are entering into... SPRING!! Looking forward to other writings you have in the future.

I'm one of the millions of admirers of Monarch butterflies. Since I was five years old, their beauty has captivated me and involved me in brutal childhood captures of this phenomenon in orange, black, and white that lights on zinnias and buddleias and is welcomed every year to my garden and the milkweed patch where I hope more Monarchs will be engendered. And I'm fond of honey bees, although in my childhood my interactions with these busy beauties, also orange and black, sometimes led to the special pain of a sting. Within the hard limits of a handful of words, this author, on this still dark March morning, brought me a moment of connection to a thrilling bit of life.

The poem emanates a freshness and an air of spring. We can actually sense the buzzing and the sounds of nature reborn.
Great job!
Good luck for the contest.
