I know you posted this story as fiction, but I wonder. The picture of the two of you no doubt that you are related.
Fact or fiction is a wonderful story and I enjoyed reading it.
Best wishes
Mary

Thank you, Mary, for the wonderful rating and your insight. You have come close to the full tapestry of the story. However, you missed some clues.
It is simple. It is fiction and humor with a catch. My fictional friend, Lirpa Loof, only exists on one day of the year. Getting It? I posted it today, that special day, April1, when all sorts of April Fool shenanigans tease and torment real people. Lirpa Loof is April Fool backwards. No, I don't have a brother but the man in the picture is a close friend. People think we are brothers but we are not. The story is complete fiction intended to entertain and pull the readers leg and I got yours. Please don't hate me, it's just ink. Thank you again for five stars.

You have this listed as fiction, but it seems like truth. This story was enthralling either way. Thank you so much for sharing your story here, and best wishes to you.

Enjoyed your memory, sound like you were a mischievous lad but certainly enjoyed your years of youth, even though your sisters gave you a difficult, but you made a friend for life.

You have written a great story. It certainly sounds like nonfiction, but you got it posted as humor fiction. I get the humor, and tough love stopped that Red Hot thief in his tracks.

If a true story, as a reader, I wish I could know about the parents thinking. Well done. Terry.

LOL, and very well done! Now it deserves a six, but I can?t give it to you. I don?t have any and FS won?t let you change the rating. I did think the names were a bit off, but I got caught up in the story.

Thank you so much Barbara. You also have been on my mind. I owe you some words to go with your tea.
I am well but have not been writing other than outlines. As it is said, life sometimes gets in the way.

Wow, you had a rough childhood but I'm glad you did meet your brother, even though it took so long. You had a good friend, that's a precious thing.

I had a difficult childhood too, but as you, I turned out fine.

It's well written, good dialog, character development, and story.

Well done

Well, this is a story I can relate to more than you might realise. I was in an orphanage for the first 2 and a half year of my life, before I got adopted. Then at fifty years of age, I decided to find my birth parents. I found them both in the US. My Mum, a Dane had married in America and lived in California. My father an American through and through lived in Mass and I gained a whole new family. like you I gained a brother. We speak every week.
I grew up in Denmark and now I live in Spain. My brother, Reuben, lives with his wife and family in Mass. I just spoke with him a couple of hours back
Nobody should ever threaten a child with orphanage.
I was taken with your story, and that you found your brother. Ulla:)))

Oh, how wonderful! I'm glad your friend found your brother and brought him to you, and from that photo, there is no getting away from it, you truly are brothers!! What a lovely story, but what a shame you never grew up together. I really enjoyed reading this. :) Sandra xxx

LOL!!! I'm so gullible I believe everything I'm told. Ask my two sons! They are always catching me out. LOL. Was I the only one to get caught on your April Fool (Lirpa Loof) joke?

No, of course I don't hate you, I had a good laugh. Have a great day, my friend. xx

No, you are not the only one to be caught. LOL! Every reviewer, except for one (at this point) bought the story hook line and sinker.

A great story! Firecrackers, M-80's, B.B. guns, and Mad magazine are all a part of a boy growing up. I loved them too! Glad you were able to reconnect with your brother through the help of a lifelong friend. You look like twins! - J.

I am glad you located your brother and you look alike! Did your parents ever explain why your brother was left at an orphanage? How very sad that is. I hope your brother had a good life after a shaky start and I am so glad you were united, love Dolly x
