I can understand all that you've said here, and I totally agree. There is nothing stopping any of us from standing up and correcting something that is wrong, or at least try. Your training in the army was basically first hand training for living your life. Not everyone gets that opportunity. You did, and became a better person for it. Very well done! And I'm sure your country thanks you every day for what you did. Good luck in the contest, it's a great entry. :)) Sandra xx

"Thoughts on Veterans Day" was well written rich in Theme and Imagery.
It also, read well and flowed well with No Grammar Issues.
...
My Complete Synopsis:
The Adjective and Objective Contents were both Excellent and Exceptional while Descriptive Measures Aligned Perfectly.
Thanks for sharing this and good luck with your contest entry.

First, thank you for your service to the country. It means a lot to me that there are those willing to give their lives in service and risk them in many ways.
Second, thank you for showing us the struggle that I think most of us are unaware of--leaving the military to get back into civilian life. Thank you for sharing the stages of grieving and how they related to you.
Third, I'm glad you have found other ways to serve and fill that need for others and yourself. Purpose is important to us.
Fourth, I appreciate those who have served for another reason. They show such respect for others. I can always tell an ex-military man. Around here, they are the only ones who say ma'am or offer to help when my arms are overloaded.
Fifth, this is well-written. It is organized, informative, and sincere.

Thank you so much for all those stars!! And for the kind feedback! It was my absolute honor to serve and I'll never regret it. I know a lot of other service members feel the same. Thank you so much for your support for our service men and women. I appreciate you!

Being in the army is like being part of another family and leaving it must bring some heartache as it is a different world. It is a bit like being a Police Officer, you are part of an exclusive club and then when you're on the outside you are sort of unwelcome and feel you have betrayed the club.

I hope that your new life brings you joy and you come to terms with a new routine as there is a big wide world out there and your army career is just one part of your life, there is more to come.

I enjoyed reading about your experience here, just one edit for this line:

(For my part, I began to (feel) like there was nothing . . . .)

Thanks you Dolly, It sounds like you know what you're talking about. You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Were you a police officer?

Thank you for the feedback. Also thank you so much for the edit.
