I would say '... chance for the eternal dance', because I think by trading joys for sorrows you are suggesting one takes the narrow way rather than the easy but meaningless way of illusory and deceptive earthly joys. Or are you suggesting replacing earthly sorrows with eternal joys. Perhaps the ambiguity was deliberate, to make the reader think. Well done.
