This was a great remembrance of a life well lived. I especially loved the birthday humor and think your sort of 'checking in' on her every ten years worked really well.
I think Zoe's career is really impressive. To rise all the way to a vice president after starting out in the backroom! I've worked for a similar bank, and know those positions are really sought after.

This was a fun biography, focusing on one day each year. The change in finances was apparent as the style of celebration changed. The steadiness of the relationship was shown through the yearly anecdotes. The tone was fond and the mood was largely funny. Your love for your wife shines through here.

What a great story. And even greater lady. Sounds like you guys had so much fun throughout your marriage. What I found most fascinating about Zoe was what she loved about you. Making her laugh and accepting and loving her for who she was. That is a good recipe for a happy marriage.

Such an interesting snippet to a life who I know would have had so much more girth and depth to where this story would have become a novel... but what you conveyed is so entertaining and uplifting, heartfelt, and at times funny.
