Very interesting idea. I hope this never happens but with all the technology we have now - it just might. I do know a lot of people, like me, who still prefer a real book in their hands. There is nothing like a real book though - the smell of it and the feel of it in your hands. Long live real books and libraries!

Yes, I know there is something comforting about a book in one's hands. But I also like my Kindle because I can make the font as large as I need. Thanks for your read and feedback. Appreciated.

It's a great title and an interesting theme, reminding the reader of just how quickly our world is changing - our precious library may soon be no more than a fossil!

Great imagery; concise, clean, brief but descriptive paragraphs, excellent flow; but mostly I love the point you made. Best wishes for the contest!

This phrase seems to be missing a word, "I grab Lorie's and pull her inside." You grab Lorie's what?

A suggestion to keep the strict word count at 75 words would be make "Lorie's" the word Lorie.

How unfortunate, but true, libraries appear to be fading into something from the not-so-distant past.

iPhone 73! That cracked me up! I love this cute little flash fiction story. The picture goes a long way to helping illustrate it too. The way things are going these days though, makes me wonder if physical books are going to make a come-back.

Thanks for taking the time to read and provide feedback. I think as the population grows older, physical books will fade away.

A lovely piece of short fiction expressed faultlessly with good descriptive prose ("A musty smell curls around us" and "papery smelly things") In such a short space of time this story hooked the reader, aided of course by the excellent image accompanying it. Well done! A very worthy contender - Good luck, Debbie

This is absolutely marvelous and perhaps closer than we think. I say about ten years. I love the iPhone 73! Hilarious!

You won this contest in my humble opinion.

Sending you my best today as always, and my very best wishes in the upcoming vote.

Scary thought, but utterly believable. What is to come of this world? It's hard to believe the changes that will come with new technology. I like that you chose this theme for your story. Well done!
