Thank you, Lisa.

Even though your free verse contest entry is humorous, as a short story writer, I can relate to your message. I have several stories started, but got stuck. I desperately need to take your advice. Forge ahead. Best wishes in the contest.

Thanks LJ. Same here, many ideas, some fraught with greatness and then the practical sits up and bops one on the nose. Drat, no body will read this, much less understand, like, praise or share. Oh well, might as well forge on.
All the best, Yard.

It's always a pleasure to read whatever you post and see what your mind will come up with next. Thanks for sharing. ..............................................................

LOL! Me and you both.
Comment from Carol Hillebrenner
You did a good job of forging something out of the nothing surrounding you. There are those days and not enough of the ones where words want to pour out of you faster than you can type. Good job of describing writer's block.

Thank you, Carol! I appreciate your reading and commenting on my prose. You are constantly on my mind as I work on part three of Stone River / Depends. I look forward to your thoughts after I post.
All the best, Yard

One good thing about writing is that normally poetry is always on the cards, not completely, but if one is writing a plot, it can become bogged down, beautifully written my friend, good luck, blessings Roy

Dear Poet, it sounds like one
of my nights waking at 3 a.m.
and getting on the FanStory
website. I'm 65, and sleep
kind of crazy hours. Sometimes I'll have poetic
creativity, sometimes go back
to sleep. You wrote well here
about writer's block, and
forging ahead. My very
best wishes for the contest.
Blessings to you and yours.

Thank you for the blessings and comments. I'm 73 and hit the sack around midnight then wake @ three or four. Might as well pour some coffee and write, right?
All the best, Yard.

I am sure your muse will return once you have had a chance to take the dog for a walk and got that coffee percolating, you seemed to have created a master piece here and made me smile too, love Dolly x

Dear Dolly, a master piece, eh? Wow! Those are some tall words of encouragement for sure.
You cause me to reflect upon the inspiration from (the) or (a) muse.
I think mine roosts up in the corner of my office, then jumps on my back when I'm slacking.
Thank you so much for your kind words.

Hey Kiddo, huge pitcher of ice tea, eh? And chocolate too? You are a dangerous woman. I do count on you. So, while I might not be timely with posting, you better stock up on tea and chocolate for the next go-round,. The end of Stone River / Depends is just around the corner. When that is put to bed, 'Grave Yard' is next. It is not a horror story. Not my style.
Thank you for your support and encouragement. Yard.

There is gold within your thoughts. The idea that we are given talents and must find the will to forge ahead. That is how we become better writers and can offer up something good to the world. I liked your free verse very much. Good luck in the contest.

O Ginda, what a nice review. It is very much appreciated. Gold in my thoughts? I can't think of a better compliment. You are so kind.
Thank you very much, Yard.

I so like this. A lot of those situations ring so true to me. Sometimes solutions present themselves. e.g. I can still get double inverted commas, I find, if I press the @ key. And yes, I can get @ if I press the " key. Is my lap-top training me? And although I don't forge, I do silversmith, and can conjour up a few sparks with my little mini-butane-torch-thing. great work - forge on!

Right on Sista! It don't matter how big your flame is, just keep it lit and let your light shine!
Thank you so much for your insight, just stay away from the alt delete sequence and you'll do just fine.
