I don't think you need to change a thing, Gene. This is such a cool poem. (No pun intended) We don't have a lot of snow around here, either. I remember a couple from when I was a kid and then a few more as we moved farther north in Texas. We had a snow-magedon a couple of years ago... Not fun!
I'm not a big fan of snow, but I love your poem about it.
Blessings and best,
Deb

Well done. This submission should prove to so many wordsmiths-to be authors an over-the-top vocabulary is the key to poignant writing. You have taken me back to youthful innocence where a snowfall was exciting.
Thank you.

Thank you for your 6 star review. I am honored that this poem has taken me back to youthful innocence where a snowfall was exciting.
All the best,

Very atmospheric! I could feel the refreshing chill through the image and your words and I like the contrasting imagery with your 'heart aglow.' There is that sense of purity and tranquillity with snowfall which you have captured so well. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

I grew up in a country per area where we had snow. But after I move to California, we had very little snow ever so when we had the first snowfall after I moved to California in a city called Covina, California I experienced a snow fall after a number of years of not seeing the snow and I felt just like you did when you saw that your first novel. What a blessed one. Patricia.

A fine tribute to the snow and the joy of it, although snow is not something I love, there is fun to be had playing in it and you brought all that fun to life here, the metre is a little lumpy but the end rhymes are good, love Dolly x
