It's sad when love is only one- sided. I like how the poem starts with the commonality of being under the same full moon. Yet, they are so far apart and there are many others who love him, so she's content with the moon.

Yes! You get it, why doesn't everyone get it the way you do? I'm happy you like it, big sister.

💖 People are busy getting through their reviewing so I guess they miss the meanings you put in. Did the doctor give you any good advice? Is the coughing better?

This excellent poem reminded me of a Robert Goulet song I talk to the trees, and then another, I talk to the moon, which sometimes make better lovers than men with pants on. Beautifully written Gypsy, blessings Roy

Hi Gypsy,, well worded and quite wistful in the poem. Love you quote in the notes too how true. Sometimes sitting under a well lit night sky is so lovely and peaceful too
Cheers Chris PS I'm in love with the sun.

The dual pictures were wonderful but the moon was beautiful, Gypsy. Your words were fantastic but true, they didn't lie. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!

A stunning presentation at this wistful look at unrequited love. But the moon at least shall always be the connection.

Great free verse and a pleasure to read and review.

I Like your free verse poem- excellent picture presentation of the full moon- nice - poem tells an interesting story that makes me want to rhyme the words and polish it-
"so I'll make do with my new love the sensual evening moon" - good job AP

That's mean, ap. My poem doesn't have to rhyme because it's free verse. What do you mean polish?

    Thank you for the review
reply by AP Apgar on 25-Apr-2023
Means - your free verse is fine- about my tendency to want to rhyme the words in your story- now isn?t free verse without rules? Or would rhyme make it no longer a free verse? Confusing Hug AP

A lovely poem, wistful and romantic. I very much admire the way you present your poems; the various shades of blue on the black ground; the atmospheric images. Julie L

This is very nicely worded, and you have presented it in a beautiful fashion. I am very impressed with this particular piece. I do wish you the very best of all of you you're writing. Have a good day and God bless. Patricia.

Romantically written with great theme and imagery .
To a degree we all idolize the moon.
Yes, and at night when it's really dark?
The glow is mysterious indeed.
...
About five nights ago I saw a double reflective moon which I thought was highly unusual.
Best way to describe it was it was a crescent moon within a half a moon.
...
Well written rich in Theme and Imagery.
To be in love with the moon you first need to be number one a male.
Number two you have to actually be there.
In other words, Jesus Christ caught a ride on Haley's comment and landed on the moon.
Exhausted. He had nowhere to go.
Didn't even know where there was water?
But there was a house!
He knocked on the door in a beautiful woman wrapped in a towel came to the door.
Her name was Luna.
"The Moon Goddess"
...
So after dressing she took him to the Sea of tranquility where they walked along the shores.
They held hands and talked for quite a while and stopped at the moon diner.
They shared a moon pie and talked about the future.
But of course Jesus would need to die on the cross a Calvary on a Rosewood Cross.
Yes, and for the Sins of Humanity.
I would like green cheese on a cracker please for my review?
